Following internal discussions in the AIDA Assembly, the vote closed on the 15th of Novomber shows the majority of countries is in favor of continuing the World Record (WR) Attempts: 11 countries voted YES, 9 voted NO and 1 country reported a draw (during their internal vote process they received the same number of votes for YES as for NO)  

The vote was organised in response to the suggestion of our members who questioned the utility of separate WR attempts in rapport with the evolution AIDA wans for freediving. The country representatives shared and discussed different arguments for continuing or discontinuing the WR Attempts during a period of one month before the end of the vote.
