Vote Results for AIDA Executive Officers 2025/26
Earlier in October, the AIDA Assembly concluded the voting session for the election of four executive officer positions for the 2025-2026 mandate (33 out of the 38 full assembly members total voted) . These newly elected officers will officially begin their term on 1 January 2025. Congratulations to all the candidates, and a special thank you to everyone who participated in the voting process.
Below are the results for each position:
1) Vice President: Lisa Borg
Votes Received: 16
Lisa Borg, based in Australia, has been actively serving as Secretary of AIDA International since 2022. With a rich history in freediving administration, she has also held key roles within the Australian Freediving Association since 2016, including President and Secretary. Lisa has organized several National Championships and managed critical partnerships with sponsors. Her extensive involvement in the global freediving community spans over eight years as a judge, athlete, and event organizer. Years of management and project leadership roles are adding to her deep understanding of organizational efficiency and strategic development.
2) Secretary: Antonella Sciacca
Votes Received: 15
Antonella Sciacca, formerly the Office Manager at Freediving World in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, has significant experience in organizing freediving competitions and managing multiple World and National Record attempts. She is known for her excellent organizational and communication skills with a strong understanding of the AIDA system and freediving rules. As she embarks on new professional opportunities, her experience in handling large-scale events will be an asset to AIDA’s operations.
3) Treasurer: Marine Russo
Votes Received: 25
4) Sport Officer: Uros Kojic
Votes Received: 26
Uros Kojic has been serving as AIDA’s Sport Officer for over six years, playing a pivotal role in organizing World Championships and working to implement the AIDA Anti-Doping TRU Freediving initiative with WADA. He has consistently supported national organizations and athletes by spearheading initiatives for financially support and ensuring a high standard of competition and safety at AIDA events.
