At AIDA, we are committed to promoting safe and responsible freediving practices which respect both the marine environment and local regulations. 

Sadly, it has come to our attention that certain freediving activities involving marine wildlife, particularly interactions with whales, are being conducted in a manner that do not align with ethical and legal standards.

We therefore wish to remind all members of the freediving community that engaging in activities such as swimming and freediving with marine wildlife can not only pose risks to the safety of individuals involved. It also has the potential to disturb or harm these animals and their natural habitat.

We also strongly encourage you to familiarize yourselves with local laws and regulations regarding human interaction with marine wildlife and to prioritize the wellbeing and conservation of these animals over your planned activities.

Before participating in any tours involving marine wildlife, we recommend:

- Checking the organizer`s website or enquiring directly with the operator about the legality of the activity and whether ethical procedures are in place.

- Choosing not to join activities which may be operating illegally or unethically. 

After all, it is our collective responsibility to uphold the principles of responsible freediving and conservation, and to protect and preserve our oceans and the creatures that call them their home.
