As discussed in 2021, AIDA is moving forward with the process of hosting one depth and one pool world championship every year, starting with 2022.

The AIDA Pool World Championship Burgas 2022 is already planned for June 2022, while preparations for a Depth World Championship 2022 are still in the works.

As of 8 February 2022, AIDA is accepting applications from potential collaborators interested in assisting with the organization and hosting of the AIDA Depth World Championship 2022. All interested individuals are invited to contact the AIDA Board at board@aidainternational.org by 23 February 2022 to announce their intention.

Final proposals are due no later than 24 March 2022.
