The qualification for the 3 disciplines of the AIDA Pool World Championships are now over and we have a rest day before the finals, so we’ll use it to make a round-up on the amazing performances we’ve seen until now.
During the first day, at the STA qualifications we’ve seen a top result of 9’23” from the Spanish Aleix Segura Vendrell, and for the women, it was the French Beatrice Del Negro who registered the best performance with 7’32”
The big surprise came the second day, at the DNF qualifications, when Mateusz Malina validated 232m setting a new World Record (pending doping test). The British Alice Hickson realized the best performance on the women side with a swim of 159m
In the last day of the qualifications which was dedicated to DYN, it was the World Champion from last year, the Greek Giorgos Panagiotakis, who finished on top of the men list with 255m and the Polish Julia Kozerska who secured the first spot of the women result list with 210m
