Safety Qualifications:
Chief of safety Jonathan Sunnex- has been COS for multiple events including Blue Element competitions and WR attempts, Vertical Blue competitions and WR attempts, former AIDA safety officer, and has trained many safety divers past and present.
Safety team comprised of instructors and experienced competition safety divers Harry McCahill, Arron Walker, Gina Glazer, Willow Wise. All have been trained and drilled with solo rescues from at least 30m, along with various other drills.
The head medical officer will be Bizo Silva who was the attending medic at last years event and has also attended events in California and Vertical Blue.

Emergency Planning
In the event of an incident we have a specialist safety team on standby. This includes the medic
and experienced safety divers who have been trained in dealing with dive issues such as
respiratory arrest, lung barotrauma and hypoxic black out. The team will have equipment including
AED, electronic suction device, bag valve mask and 100% oxygen.
In the event of an incident occurring that cannot be dealt with by the safety team on location, evacuation will take place and
the victim will first be transported by boat to the entry point on shore and then transported by
vehicle to the Princess Margaret hospital located approximately 30 mins away. Sufficient oxygen will be available to accompany the victim en route to the hospital.
In the event of DCS the nearest DAN approved Hyperbaric chamber is located in Martinique, and a helicopter can be called to collect the patient for evacuation. Flight time from our platform to the hospital is 15-20 minutes.
